Hearing the Voice is delighted to welcome visiting speakers and delegates from the Academy of Finland to a two-day workshop entitled ‘An Exchange of Minds: So what do you believe?’, which will take place at the Palatine Centre at Durham University on 28-29 September 2015.

Facilitated by Mary Robson and hosted jointly by Hearing the Voice, the Academy of Finland, and Durham University’s Institute of Advanced Study, the purpose of the workshop is (i) to showcase cutting-edge interdisciplinary research from the Academy of Finland’s The Human Mind programme and cognate UK research projects; and (ii) to facilitate reflection, knowledge exchange and best practice around questions of methodology and the challenges of working in interdisciplinary research projects.

Speakers include Ulrike Maude (University of Bristol) and Jonathan Heron (University of Warwick) as well as HtV’s Charles Fernyhough, Sam Wilkinson, Pat Waugh, Ben Alderson-Day, Marco Bernini and Peter Garratt. The Academy of Finland are also providing a range of speakers, including Marja-Liisa Honkasalo, Kirsti Lonka, Niclas Sandström, Jyrki Korkeila and Susanne Ådahl.
