The Hearing the Voice project team is looking to appoint a Project Assistant to cover a period of maternity leave, starting from the 1st of April 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Working closely with the Project Coordinator, the Project Assistant will be responsible for providing efficient secretarial and administrative support to project staff and participants.  We are looking for someone who has strong communication and IT skills, and is keen to work with a dynamic, interdisciplinary research team.

The Project Assistant’s main responsibilities will include assisting in the organization of project meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences (for example, by arranging travel and accommodation and coordinating catering and room bookings); coordinating purchasing and assisting in the administration of financial aspects of the project; maintaining accurate records in the form of documents, spreadsheets, databases and local expenditure files; assisting in the maintenance of the project web site and other communications; and collecting and presenting information for the purposes of project planning and reporting.

This is a fixed-term, part-time post (starting on the 1st of April 2014, or as soon as possible thereafter) to cover a period of maternity leave. The post-holder will work 14 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with days of work to be negotiated.
